Social Media Manager

We are searching for a talented social media manager to represent our network by building a social media presence for our brand. The social media manager will be required to run advertising campaigns and drive engagement by creating high-quality original content with the help of our in-house designer and copywriter, in collaboration with our marketing specialists' goals and brand managers' guidelines for the brand. 


You should also engage influencers, manage our community by responding to comments, and oversee our customer service across all platforms. Assisting you directly will be 3 account moderators, each responsible for engagement and information from a handful of platforms. We're on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, Telegram, Twitter, YouTube, Medium, Twitch, and TikTok. 


To be successful as a social media manager, you should possess a wealth of pertinent marketing experience. Ultimately, a top-notch social media manager should back their expertise by creating and sharing all relevant technical documents.


The social media manager and the marketing manager will work hand in hand to achieve the brand goals set by the brand manager. You will be a senior in the marketing department setting schedules and content plans, that meet marketing and brand goals. You will work in collaboration with the community manager who is responsible for managing the 3 moderators. He will oversee the execution of the plan and manage the moderators, giving you time to focus on the full-scale strategy and seeing to brand/marketing goals being met on our spocial platforms.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

 
  • Running Avians' social media advertising campaigns.

  • Formulating a high-quality novel was written and visual content for each social media campaign

  • Building a social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence

  • Monitoring the company's brand on social media, in collaboration with our brand manager

  • Building brand awareness by engaging relevant influencers

  • Managing our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement

  • Responding to comments on each of our accounts

  • Overseeing customer service provided via social media

  • Analyzing data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives

  • The coaching team and community members network-wide on content creation best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Social media marketing experience

  • Experience developing social media strategies

  • Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform

  • Proven ability to build social media communities

  • Understanding of graphic design principles, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience enforcing brands values and tone across platforms

  • Ability to measure the success of campaigns, good with analytics tools and data management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)

Social media: The ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand is necessary to be a Social Media Manager. These professionals are expected to regularly post text, video, and images that engage the company’s target market, follow online conversations on a company’s social media accounts and solve customer concerns using social media platforms.


Communication: Great verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. A Social Media Manager must interact with writers, designers, developers, and customers and report to senior management personnel. As good communicators, these professionals must identify social media events such as an interesting hashtag or a sensitive topic and share appropriate content that aligns with the company’s social media strategy.


Creativity: Crafting engaging content is an important skill for a Social Media Manager. These professionals must constantly align content with customer trends and market changes to interest and engage people.


Technology: Computer skills, skills in using social media platforms, and skills in using tools that analyze social media platforms are requirements for this position. A Social Media Manager must use digital technologies to meet the goals of social media campaigns.


Research: Skills in learning social media trends, identifying new social media tools, and finding real-time online conversations are necessary for this position. Social Media Managers must have an understanding of the trends and techniques of social media as well as the company’s online presence to effectively handle social media marketing.


Time management: The skill of organizing tasks to meet deadlines is essential for this professional role. Social Media Managers work according to schedules and must meet marketing and business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A 2 or 4-year degree, associate or bachelor's in internet marketing, journalism, or a related field

  • Certifications, and course work from online learning platforms like Udemy, Skillshare, Coursera, Linkedin learning, and more

These are impressive and may help you stand out in a specific area, but are not required. Existing work and experience in managing actual communities and projects are more critical than a certification.
